Copycat Starbucks Cruella De Vil Frappuccino

Disney Fans Will Obsess Over Starbucks’ New Secret Drink: The Cruella De Vil Frappuccino. This recipe is part of Starbucks secret menu. My Copycat Starbucks Cruella De Vil Frappuccino is creamy delicious and so simple to make at home.

The movie craze of the summer has to be Cruella. Kids and adults love this movie so much, that I’ve heard everyone is going back to see it two times or more.

If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s a little background about the Disney movie that came out earlier this year.

Cruella is centered around a fictional character named Estella in the 1970s, who is an aspiring fashion designer seeking revenge against the Baroness, played by the very talented actress Emma Thompson. She ends up morphing into her alter ego Cruella de Vil and the brilliant actress Emma Stone does a fabulous job as Cruella and gives an award-winning performance.

Seriously, the movie was so fantastic.

Now, on to this delicious Copycat Starbucks Cruella De Vil Frappuccino recipe that I’m sharing with you today. It’s not on Starbucks’ main menu; it’s on their secret menu, which basically means they take one frappe and then add different ingredients to make it and call it the Cruella De Vil Frappuccino.

I have gone to three different Starbucks and they all made it differently. My son Josh and I ordered the Cruella De Vil Frappuccino at all three places during a 2-week period, then it was time to go home and make it my way. This time around, my son Josh helped me create this Copycat Cruella De Vil Frappuccino. We liked the three from Starbucks, but liked ours even more and got a thumbs up from my daughter and hubby.

The best part about this Starbucks secret menu item frappe are the colors, which were inspired by Cruella herself. With her signature red lips, black and white hair, the Cruella Frappuccino had to be red, white and black!

I hope you all enjoy this fun and luscious frappe just like my family does and be sure to try and see the movie.

Some recipe notes: I made this Frappuccino two different ways. One has regular vanilla ice cream with whole milk and granulated sugar.  The second Frappuccino is made the “skinny” way. Made with sugar free, fat free vanilla bean ice cream, almond milk and no calorie sweetener.  Both however have fresh frozen strawberries in the frappes along with the food coloring. The second one is a great Weight Watchers recipe that’s guilt free. In the first Frappuccino, you can sub out the whole daily milk for almond milk like I did the second frappe recipe. Have fun making this creamy, luscious Copycat Starbucks Cruella De Vil Frappuccino.

For my Weight Watchers pals, full nutritional count with WW Points are below for the skinny and guilt free version.

How to Make a Cruella de Vil Frappuccino at home

  1. In a blender add frozen strawberries and the 1/2 cup cold water. Blend until mostly smooth. Place in fridge for just a few minutes.
  2. You don’t even need to rinse out the blender. Add in the 1 1/2 cups of vanilla ice cream, the one cup of milk and the cup of fresh ice cubes. Blend until thick and creamy. If needed, add a drop more milk, but you want this thick and pourable. Place that in the fridge or freezer for just a few minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, add the sugar and just a few drops of the edible black food gel. Mix until the two are combined.
  4. Have two clear plastic cups ready. Pour the strawberry puree into each cup. Gently swirl and turn the cup so the strawberry gets on the sides of each cup.
  5. Now, scoop or pour the ice cream mixture into each cup. Use half the mixture. Sprinkle some of the sparkle sugar you made and swirl the cup again very gently to have the black color splash on the sides of the cups. Add the rest of the ice cream mixture. Again, move each cup again very gently so you can see the different colors.
  6. Swirl the whipped cream over the top of the cup and sprinkle the rest of the sugar mixture on top. That’s it! Creamy deliciousness.

Enjoy!
