Copycat Starbucks Blonde Vanilla Latte

This is a fun twist on the classic Starbucks vanilla latte recipe. It’s light with a nice, mild flavor. While you may feel intimidated by attempting a copycat recipe, I think you’ll be surprised at how easy this wonderful blonde latte coffee beverage is to make and enjoy right at home. Try my simple and delicious new recipe with only 3 ingredients.

Copycat Starbucks Blonde Vanilla Latte

This is a creamy and smooth version of the popular Starbucks blonde vanilla latte, known for its frothy milk and sugary-sweet syrup poured over freshly brewed blonde espresso.

The twist? You don’t need an espresso maker or any fancy equipment for this recipe! All you need is regular brewed coffee, milk and some vanilla syrup. And if you’re looking to cut your sugar content, then skip the syrup altogether. You’ll still end up with a satisfying beverage for a fraction of the price.

Vanilla Blonde Latte

If you have been on my blog before you know there are a bunch of copycat recipes and most of them are from Starbucks.

I love making these myself for a few reasons. The main one is I don’t like spending the big bucks on something that I can easily make at home. Also, since I work from home, (being totally honest) I am too lazy to run out. So, this is why there’s a bunch of other Starbucks copycat beverages on my blog. Both hot and cold.

After enjoying so many of Starbucks delicious beverages even one time, I try to duplicate them right away.

I’ll run home and start the trial and error process.

Sometimes when it’s quiet in Starbucks I can chat with one of the Baristas and they’re so helpful when I ask about what goes into a certain beverage. It gives me quite the advantage to get a head start on what ingredients I’ll need for a recipe. Mostly all the beverages are really easy to make with minimal ingredients.

How to Make a Starbucks Vanilla Latte

This blonde vanilla latte is so simple and easy to make right at home.

First you prepare your coffee.

Next you froth your milk.

And last you add your vanilla syrup, coffee and milk into your mug.

Like I said, easy!

What is Blonde Roast?

You may have heard about blonde roast or blonde espresso and wondered what it is and how it’s different from other roasts.

Think of blonde roast as a light roast, also called cinnamon roast in some circles. This particular roast is usually made from Latin American or East African coffee beans, which have a sweet yet mellow flavor and a smooth, creamy finish.

Light roasted coffee stays on the roasting machine for less time than darker roasts, which makes them a bit stronger with a distinct taste and characteristics of the coffee bean’s origin. If you prefer a rich, bold coffee taste then you’ll want to stick to dark roasts.

If you’re looking for blonde roast at the grocery store, you might not always see it called “blonde.” In that case, watch for names like “cinnamon roast,” “half-city roast,” or “light roast.”

I will list a few down below with the links. You must check out how easily the recipe below is to froth the milk right in the microwave. No machines needed. Everyone loves this easy method.

So, enjoy this smooth and luscious hot beverage and all the others. Take a sip and relax.

  • 1 cup brewed coffee (not espresso for this recipe) you can use regular or decaf
  • about 1/2 cup skim or low fat milk, you can use whole milk too

Directions:

Brew a cup of coffee. While it’s brewing. Froth/steam the milk this way.

  1. Add one tablespoon vanilla syrup into your mug. Pour the hot coffee over the syrup. Stir gently.
  2. Now, after you steam/froth the milk, you can pour into a small pitcher or just gently pour over cup of coffee. Whatever is easier for you.
  3. Whatever leftover froth is in the jar, spoon the rest over the milk.

Enjoy the smooth coffee deliciousness!

How to Make an Iced Blonde Vanilla Latte

It’s so easy to make an iced blonde vanilla latte from this recipe! This recipe adds one more ingredient on top of the fresh brewed light roast coffee or blonde espresso, milk and vanilla syrup—ice!

  1. Fill a tall glass with ice, add one tablespoon of vanilla syrup and then pour in the hot coffee until the glass is 3/4 full.
  2. Instead of steaming your milk, put it in a mason jar and after sealing it tightly, shake the jar until the milk is frothy and bubbly.
  3. Pour the milk and foam into the glass with the ice and coffee.

Enjoy your copycat Starbucks iced blonde vanilla latte!
