Copycat Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino

Copycat Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino

Starbucks is always coming out with great new frappes to enjoy. I knew I had to make a Copycat Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino after the first time I tasted one at my local Starbucks. The combo of white chocolate and coffee is just fabulous. Check my simple version out that happens to taste very similar to the original and is easy to make at home.

I love Starbucks beverages so much. Especially their Frappuccino’s.

I’m a huge Starbucks fan. In fact, if scroll around my blog, you will find many of my copycat recipes and most of them are from Starbucks. If you are anything like me, then you know how delicious their hot and cold beverages are.

The reason for all the copycat recipes? Mainly price and convenience.

Being a food blogger, I work from home.

So, if I don’t have to run out to pick up one of my favorite beverages, why not make them at home for a fraction of the cost and convenience?

You can enjoy all my copycat versions at home and you will save money too.

By the time you would run out and purchase a drink, you would have had it made in just a few minutes.

Most of the beverages take about five to 10 minutes to prepare. Like the one I’m sharing with you today for a Copycat Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino. It’s totally delectable!

A White Chocolate Mocha has been on the Starbucks menu for a few years now.

However, Starbucks did come out with a Toasted White Chocolate Mocha Frappe earlier in October of this year.

After trying both, I found they do taste very similar.

I made a stop into my local Starbucks before making up this frappe and  I asked one of the Baristas if he could tell me what the difference between the two frappes were.

The very nice young man told me the syrup in the “Toasted White Chocolate Mocha Frappe  has a “toasted” flavor.

Really? To be honest, both my son and I couldn’t tell the difference. So, I figured it was best to make a Copycat White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino instead of the “toasted” one.

I did add the fun red dusting sugar on top like they do on the toasted frappe because it gives the beverage a fun, festive look. Also, I happen to have all colors of dusting sugar in the house and well, why not?  This is totally optional. It does not alter the taste of the frappe at all.

What Is A Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino?

Basically, it’s coffee or espresso mixed with some cream or milk and of course, the wonderful white chocolate syrup. You can make it homemade like I did in the recipe below, or buy a  bottle of white chocolate syrup online or in grocery stores where the coffee is sold.

Either way, you will come out with a most delicious copycat version of Starbucks’ White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino.

Can this be made low calorie and sugar free?

It sure can. Just swap out the white chocolate chips with a sugar free brand such as Lily’s and substitute with  sugar free syrup along with a no calorie powdered sugar. Here’s the sugar free white chocolate syrup I used.https://amzn.to/3CTewT0

Give it a taste and hope you enjoy as much as we do.

How Is A Copycat Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino Made?

You’ll see how simple and easy it is and how delicious it tastes!

Here Are The Easy Directions:

  1. Prepare your coffee ahead of time and let sit in fridge or freezer until nice and cold. It can be slightly frozen but not completely.
  2. If you are making homemade white chocolate syrup. Follow these simple instructions. In a microwave safe measuring cup or mug, heat milk and half and half just until warm. Not hot. Set a side for just a minute.  Place chopped white chocolate in a microwave safe bowl, pour warmed milk mixture over chopped white chocolate. Gently mix. Place in microwave for about 20 seconds. Take out, stir. Put back into microwave for another 20 seconds. Mix again. Once you have a nice smooth and creamy texture, your syrup is ready to go. Set aside for just a minute or so to cool down slightly. If you are using store bought, skip the last step and proceed with step 3.
  3. Add cold coffee, ice cubes, vanilla, and powdered sugar into blender. (Just a recipe note: I use this blender that I have had for 9 years and I love it) On low speed, pulse until some of the ice breaks up. Do this a couple of times. Now, pour the white chocolate syrup into the blender. Turn the blender back on low speed or pulse a few times. Then, put on medium to high so everything gets blended to a thick, pourable consistency. Taste before pouring. If you like your frappes extra sweet add more powdered sugar. If you want the frappe really thick, add a few more ice cubes. When done, pour into cup(s) and top with whipped cream and sanding sugar if using.

Enjoy this most delectable frappe!
