You won’t believe how simple and easy this is to make right at home.

Once I figured it out I was laughing at my old habits, because to run out and spend the big bucks on one of these delicious honey flat white Starbucks drinks that is so easy to make at home feels crazy now.

Of course when I’m out shopping and have the sudden urge for a Starbucks almond milk honey flat white, I definitely indulge. But only when already out.

In the past I have done a Starbucks run driven completely by cravings and my husband thought I was nuts. That’s when all the copycat versions of Starbucks honey flat white coffees and more hit my blog.

There are bunches of them on here. I love these drinks!

A few of these recipe links are posted below this honey almond milk latte recipe. Both hot and chilled.

Also, I’ve included a link for an easy way (and I mean really easy) to steam or froth milk in the microwave. It’s three steps and 30 seconds, no machines necessary. And the best part? You probably already have all the ingredients you need at home.

I happen to use regular coffee for this honey almond milk latte recipe since I don’t keep espresso in the house. Sometimes at night I use decaf and I can report this almond milk honey flat white is as good as with full caffeine. I really can’t tell the difference.

Make a goal to whip this luscious drink up soon. It’s so good!

When you scroll down, you will see photos of my copycat Starbucks almond milk honey latte and you may notice a heart in the middle of the latte. Well, that was by accident. LOL!

I started pouring the frothy almond milk into the brewed coffee and voila, a heart!

Try it, maybe it will work for you too.

The Difference Between a Flat White and a Latte

I decided to call this a honey almond milk latte since this is what most of us refer to these hot beverages as.

But if you’re curious what the main differences between flat whites and lattes are, here are the broad strokes!

Flat whites and lattes are more or less the same!

A flat white is, usually, two shots of espresso with a small amount of steamed milk and a thin layer of microfoam on the top.

A latte is either one or two shots of espresso topped up with steamed or frothed milk and a thin layer of microfoam on top.

So now you know.

Directions:

  1. Brew a cup of coffee. While that’s brewing, grab a mason jar or glass jar with a lid. (Remember to remove lid before setting into the microwave.) Follow directions in above link how to steam/froth the milk in the microwave.
  2. When milk is ready, add honey to coffee and stir. I poured the milk into a small pitcher, see in photo. Gently pour milk over coffee. Stir gently then take the leftover froth and spoon over top of coffee. That’s it! Sit down, relax and sip away. Slowly, it’s hot!
