Copycat Starbucks Apple Crisp Macchiato
This copycat Starbucks apple crisp macchiato made it’s debut in August 2021 in Starbucks cafés. The original apple crisp was a cold beverage. I think this hot version is the best. It’s so soothing and warming. A real treat in a mug. Now, you can make one right at home with my easy and simple recipe. Make one for yourself, sit down and enjoy every warm sip.
FYI…
A macchiato is sometimes called espresso macchiato. It’s an espresso or coffee drink with a small amount of milk, usually foamed.
In Italian, macchiato means “stained” or “spotted”, that’s where the name macchiato comes from “stained coffee” or “marked.
What is an Apple Crisp Macchiato?
This hot Apple Crisp Macchiato tastes like warm apple pie in a mug with your coffee or espresso mixed right in. With warm spices and brown sugar too.
Now, I happen to make mine with almond milk, but go ahead and make yours with dairy milk if you choose. I also made one with oat milk. As a matter of fact, Starbucks recently changed the name of this hot beverage to Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato.
Any milk will work in this delightful hot macchiato.
Also, don’t get discouraged when you see that the milk is steamed or frothed in the recipe below. Here’s how to froth milk in the microwave in three easy steps:
In just 3 minutes your milk of choice will be frothed and you can make your apple crisp macchiato. You can use espresso,(the original way in Starbucks) or coffee, even decaf works in this macchiato. I use the decaf coffee when I make this in the evening for my hubby and I. I hope you try my easy and simple copycat recipe that seriously tastes just like the original for Starbuck. It’s so good!
