Simple Pantry Chai Tea Latte

This luscious Chai Tea Latte is a staple in my home. So easily made that I can enjoy anytime of day without having to run out and buy one. Grab a few ingredients and warm up with every sip. From my home to yours, enjoy!

Why pay $5  or more for a chai latte when you have all the ingredients in your pantry to make your very own.  Anyone who likes chai tea will love this simple version, especially since it’s decadent and easy to prepare.

I make this latte all the time whether it’s for company or a special treat just for me. My kids enjoy this as well. It doesn’t matter what time of year it is, a cup of tea is always comforting. This way of making it just adds a special touch.

When friends come to visit I make this instead of coffee sometimes. The subtle sweetness is just enough for dessert some nights after a big dinner. Try this simple and easy recipe out, bet you are going to love it like we do here.

What you’ll need to make a simple pantry chai tea latte…

Ingredients:

  • 3 tea bags — I use decaf but you can use regular if you’d like
  • 12 oz boiling water
  • 1 cup skim or 1 % milk, I used 1 % for this recipe
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tsp brown sugar, more if you like a sweeter tea
  • 2 tbsp vanilla creamer from the refrigerated section of your market, I used the fat free brand
  • 2 tbsp aerosol whipped topping – 1 tbsp topping for each latte (optional)
  • cinnamon to sprinkle on top (optional)

With or without toppings, this warm Chai Tea is divine

Directions:

  1. Steep 3 tea bags in 12 oz boiling water for about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Stir well.
  3. While that is steeping, warm milk in a small saucepan and add brown sugar. I use a small wire whisk to mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Remove the tea bags and add the tea mixture to the milk mixture.
  5. Whisk well.
  6. Add the creamer and stir.

Pour into your favorite mugs and share with someone you love
