So Simple Hot Cocoa Fudge

This is the easiest recipe for fudge and making it hot cocoa fudge is an added bonus. Everyone loves this recipe for so simple hot cocoa fudge. It’s delectable. Enjoy!

Since my family loves hot chocolate and hot cocoa, this was a delicious change from drinking the hot cocoa.

However, my son insisted we make some hot chocolate to eat with this. He knew what he was talking about. The two together was, oh boy, total chocolate deliciousness.

This is the recipe we made for the hot chocolate…S’mores Hot Chocolate Do you see the connection? LOL! It doesn’t have to be wintertime to enjoy fudge or for that matter hot cocoa or hot chocolate.

I drink tea and coffee all year round. Why not have hot cocoa all year round too?

This recipe is also great for bringing on picnics, BBQs, and potluck dinners.

Who wouldn’t love this decadent fudge for dessert?!

Give this really easy recipe a try, you are sure to love this fudgy creation like we do.

Just a note, since fudge is so rich tasting and decadent, cut the pieces small. It’s just a suggestion, if you want large pieces go for it!

So Simple Hot Cocoa Fudge

Yields: about 18-24 pieces

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder, not Dutch processed for this recipe
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp sea or kosher salt
  • 1 cup Kraft Jet Puffed Mallow bits (the small ones for hot cocoa)

Directions:

  1. Line a 9 by 9 inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a small to medium sauce pan, over low heat, pour in sweetened condensed milk. Whisk in the cocoa powder and salt.
  3. Stir in the chocolate chips and continue to whisk until well combined and smooth. Take off the heat and mix in vanilla extract.
  4. Pour into the parchment lined pan. Top with mallow bits. Gently press into the fudge so they stay put after set.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap but don’t let touch the fudge. Refrigerate for three hours or until solid. Cut into small size pieces.
  6. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or in the fridge up to 10 days.

Enjoy the chocolate deliciousness!
