S’mores Hot Chocolate – This simple hot chocolate drink is smooth, sweet and creamy tasting. Anyone who likes S’mores will adore this wonderful hot chocolate. Make some soon and enjoy every sip!

My whole family loves hot chocolate and hot cocoa drinks. On these cold days of winter, nothing warms you up better than hot chocolate. If you have been on this blog before,  you know there are a few other hot chocolate drinks such as this one…Extra Dark Hot Chocolate

I wanted to make up something different this time. My son Josh and I had just gone supermarket shopping and he found these Hershey’s S’mores chocolate chip mixture. He asked if we could buy it so we could bake some cookies with these chips. I said sure. Instead of the cookies this time, I thought making S’mores hot chocolate.  We tossed some on the top with some whipped cream and oh was this good. We will definitely save these chips for cookies but it sure adds to a great topping.  Just a note, you can add any chips or broken up graham crackers as well as mini marshmallows if you don’t want to buy these particular chips. Anything goes with hot chocolate!

S’mores Hot Chocolate

Yields: 2-3 mugs

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups milk, whole or 2 percent
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp Dutch-processed unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp white chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp marshmallow cream or syrup, found in the ice cream department by the sprinkles, or use marshmallow fluff
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 pinch sea or kosher salt
  • 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
  • Hershey’s S’mores baking chips or a mixture of mini chocolate chips, mini marshmallows and crunched up graham crackers
  • whipped cream for topping, I used the one from the can

Directions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, add all ingredients except the chips topping and whipped cream. Cook and stir over low to medium heat until all is combined and hot. No need to boil! Just until you see some steam coming from the mixture. Stir to make sure white chocolate chips are melted. Pour into mugs, add whipped cream and toppings.

Enjoy every warm sip!
