Best Basic Key Lime Bars

If you are a fan of key lime pie, you are sure to love these key lime bars. A simple basic recipe that’s easy to follow and comes out tasting fabulous!

First things first…If you can’t find Key Limes, no worries. You can substitute a regular (Persian) lime in it’s place. If you ever wanted to know the difference between the two limes, I will explain it very briefly. Both are used in cooking, baking, and dressings. The Key Limes are usually picked when green but, they become a yellowish/green color when ripened. They are also smaller in size, the rind is thinner and have many more seeds in them with a higher acidity and a bolder aroma. So, if you can find them in your market or a fruit stand, pick some up and bake a batch of these beauties. These bars are really yummy!
