Copycat Starbucks Caramel Cloud Macchiato
This warm and soothing drink is one of Starbucks’ most popular hot beverages, with just the right amount of sweetness for a delicious cup. Make a Copycat Starbucks Caramel Cloud Macchiato soon, you will really enjoy one in the morning or evening.
This delicious copycat beverage is very close to the original Copycat Starbucks Macchiato. This one however is must subtle in sweetness to the original. With only 4 simple ingredients and 4 simple steps, you have a most delightful hot drink to enjoy anytime of day.
For my copycat version–which is pretty darn close to the original–you can use regular strong coffee. Even decaf works. Just a FYI, “macchiato” means stained or marked.
The coffee is poured over the steamed milk then a light stream of caramel over that.
It’s magical and delicious!

What Are The Ingredients In This Luscious Looking Copycat Starbucks Caramel Cloud Macchiato?
Here are the four simple ingredients:
- milk, I find the skim or reduced fat works best
- vanilla syrup, found in most markets in the coffee department. comes in regular or sugar free. Also found on Amazon
- hot espresso or strong coffee, decaf works too
- caramel sauce, topping or caramel syrup, like Smucker’s to drizzle on top, found in the ice cream, topping section of the grocery store and market. For those of us that like a sugar free version, you can tryWalden Farms CaramelSyrup or Torani Sugar Free Caramel Syrup Both of these are highlighted and found on Amazon. You many also be able to find these at your local grocery store or market.

Starbucks Copycat Caramel Macchiato
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups milk, I find the skim or reduced fat works best
- 2 tbsp vanilla syrup, found in most markets or on Amazon
- 1/4 cup hot espresso, strong coffee, decaf works too
- caramel sauce to drizzle on top, found in the ice cream topping section of the market
Instructions

1.Prepare espresso or coffee. At the same time, steam/froth the milk as directed in link above.
2.Have a nice big mug ready. Add the milk. Pour coffee into a measuring cup or pitcher that can hold hot beverages, add the vanilla syrup to the coffee and stir to combine.
3.Stream the coffee over the frothy milk. You’ll see the “stain.”
4.Now, drizzle the caramel over the top. That’s it, enjoy!
