Patriotic Loaded Oreo Cookie Bars
These easy to make patriotic loaded Oreo cookie bars come out really scrumptious. Loaded with lots of Oreo cookies, white chocolate and topped with sprinkles. They’re decorated patriotic but, you can use any colored sprinkles for any or no occasion. Enjoy!
Since I love making desserts on a regular basis, there’s no exception for the patriotic holidays.
The Fourth of July is right around the corner so, I wanted a new dessert to serve this coming holiday weekend that non of my family or friends have seen or eaten before.
That’s when I thought of a cookie bar recipe. I got this one on the first try. The ingredients and measurements worked out just right and these bars came out just right. Soft and chewy on the inside with just the right crisp edges and tops of these gems. Give my recipe a try, I really think everyone around you will enjoy like my family will too. Simple Ingredients: Even though these cookie bars have a certain white chocolate bar, in the ingredients which is optional, the rest are made with everyday ingredients that you can swap out for any occasion and holiday.

Ingredients:

2 ¼ cups all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon Baking soda

3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup of a Hershey’s white chocolate bar or, the red white and blue Hershey cookies and cream candy bars, roughly chopped. You can use any white chocolate bar or white chocolate chips too

11/4 cups Oreo cookies, roughly chopped

3 to 4 tablespoons red white and blue sprinkles or, any sprinkles of choice
How to make patriotic loaded Oreo cookie bars:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a separate bowl, mix together melted butter, sugar, and brown sugar, until combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Slowly add in the flour mixture, mixing between each addition.
- Fold in ½ cup of the white chocolate candy bar and ½ cup Oreos. Spread the batter into your parchment paper lined pan.
- Now, top with remaining candy bars, cookies, and red white and blue sprinkles. Bake for 22-26 minutes. Check after 22 minutes. Test with a toothpick or wooden skewer. Should come out clean or with dry crumbs. Allow to cool on a baking rack completely. Slice into bars. Eat up!
