Sweet & Salty Patriotic Pretzel Snaps

3 ingredients is all it takes to make these sweet & salty patriotic pretzel snaps. It’s the most yummy sweet and salty treat. You will be a big hit when you serve these at your next gathering. Enjoy every crunchy chocolate bite!

 

For a quick and fun snack the whole family will love, make a batch of these sweet & salty pretzel snaps.

These take only a few minutes from start to finish.

Since they set up nicely after just a few minutes.

So, they’re great for gift giving.

Change around the sprinkle colors for any holiday.

Everyone loves to receive these delicious sweet and salty treats.

Have the kids get involved with the decorating.

  Sometimes we melt colored chocolate over the tops for an even more decadent treat.

However, they are just perfect with the three original ingredients. 

 Add some different kind of toppings for a fun swap.

We made a batch of 35 this time around.

You can make as much or as few as you’d  like and the skies the limit for decorating.

Sweet & Salty Patriotic Hugs Pretzel Snaps

 Nutrition: calories per snap: calories 43, fat 1.5 g, sat fat 0.9 g, carbs 3.6 g, sugars 2.5 g, protein .5 g, fiber 0 g

What you’ll need to  make these 3 ingredients sweet & salty pretzel snaps…

 

Ingredients:

  • 35 pretzel snaps
  • 35 unwrapped hugs, any flavor of choice
  • About 1/2 tsp per snap colored sprinkles, we used already mixed red, white and blue, found at the local market or online

 

 


 

Here’s the easy-peasy way to make them…

 

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper, set aside for just a few minutes.

  1. While the oven is heating up. Unwrap the hugs and get your sprinkles opened up with a teaspoon ready.
  2. Lay out the pretzel snaps on lined cookie sheet. Place a Hug in the center of each snap and bake for about 3 to 4 minutes. You will see the chocolate get shiny. Try not to over heat the chocolate.
  3. Take out of the oven and carefully place cookie sheet on cooling rack on counter. Now, toss sprinkles over each chocolate snap. Let sit on counter to cool completely.
  4. When they are completely cooled, place in an air tight container or zip lock bag. They will stay for up to 4 days on the counter (If they last that long). Make an extra batch and give to someone special.
