Tips
- Use large strawberries for easy dipping and a prettier presentation.

- If your yogurt mixture is too thick, you can thin it out with a little water. Use 1 tablespoon at a time to ensure you don’t accidentally make it too thin.
Frequently Asked Questions
My yogurt strawberries are fresh strawberries dipped in a mixture of cream cheese and yogurt and rolled in chopped nuts.
These are healthy-ish. They’re made with cream cheese, so they do contain some saturated fat. However, they’re also made with chopped nuts, yogurt, and honey, all of which are healthy ingredients.
I don’t recommend it. The strawberries will release a lot of liquid when they defrost, making a mushy center that will also soften the yogurt coating.
Yogurt Dipped Strawberries with Nuts
My yogurt dipped strawberries feature cream cheese and yogurt-covered strawberries rolled in chopped nuts to create a naturally sweet snack with loads of flavor and texture. It’s a better-for-you option that everyone always loves.
Ingredients
- 8 fresh strawberries
- 8 ounces cream cheese, regular or reduced fat (not fat free) softened to room temperature
- 3/4 cup strawberry or vanilla Greek or regular yogurt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 cup honey or maple syrup, add more if you want sweeter
- pinch salt
- 1/2 cup chopped unsalted nuts of choice. I used dry roasted cashews
Instructions
-
Rinse strawberries in cool water. Lay on a paper towel and pat dry. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, using a hand mixer or stand mixer, mix the cream cheese to loosen up. Mix in the yogurt along with the vanilla extract, salt and syrup. Continue to mix until smooth and creamy. If the dip is too thick, you can thin out with a little milk or even water. Start with 1 tablespoon at a time. Take one dry strawberry by the stem and dip a little over half way up. Right away, dip into the chopped nuts. Place on a serving plate or cutting board. When all the strawberries are finished. Place in fridge to chill for about 30 minutes. These should be served the same day. If you have leftovers, I would only store in the fridge up to 1 day. Enjoy!
