Nutella Crunch Balls

My family loves my Nutella Crunch Balls, they’re smooth and creamy with the best crunch ever! Easy-Peasy recipe that everyone will love. Take a bite of deliciousness and enjoy!

Today I’m sharing with you another recipe made with my all time favorite ingredient, Nutella! I always joke and say, Nutella should be a food group. LOL!  Creamy deliciousness with just the right amount of sweetness.

This recipe is one that my kids and I have been making for years now. I think my son was only 6 years old when my daughter thought this up one day. I had just bought both Rice Krispies and Coco Krispies along with a large jar of Nutella. My daughter said we should make some kind of crunchy ball with the cereal and Nutella. So, we did. They were so yummy and now we both have been making these along with my son who happens to make his into bars. I should really take a photo of those delicious bars and share his recipe too.

By adding the “crunch” factor, you have the best Nutella dessert that everyone is going to love. These also make great edible gifts for the holiday season. Make a batch soon and taste what I’m talking about!

What you’ll need to make these incredible Nutella crunch balls…

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 to 2 cups Cocoa Krispies, start with one cup, add more if needed.  (You can use all Rice Krispies if you like)
  • 12 large marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 10 tablespoons Nutella
  • 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons chocolate chips, milk chocolate or semisweet chips
  • pinch fine sea or kosher salt
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • colored sprinkles, optional

Love Nutella!

Here’s the easy way to make these gems…

Directions:

1. Have a cookie sheet lined with parchment or wax paper and set in fridge until ready to use.

2. In a large microwave safe bowl, combine the marshmallows and butter. Melt in microwave for about 45 seconds to 1 minute. Take out, stir and place back in for another 30 seconds until completely melted. Add in vanilla extract and pinch of salt.

3. Stir in Nutella. Keep stirring until the Nutella is well incorporated. You may need to place back in the microwave for a few seconds to loosen up the Nutella. Then stir again.

4. I switched to a larger bowl then added in the cereals. Spray a large rubber spatula with cooking spray and mix well. Try not to break up the cereal.

5. When all is combined, take the cookie sheet out of the fridge and use a small cookie scoop to make Nutella balls. If you have to roll them a little after you scoop do so but it’s ok if they look rustic. Should make about 30 balls. Let set up for a few minutes on the counter.

6. Time to melt the yummy chocolate, Place in a small to medium microwave safe bowl for about 30 seconds. Take out, stir and place back in for another 20 seconds. Stir again and do this until smooth and shiny.

7. Take a teaspoon or fork and drizzle away. If you have some leftover, spoon the rest on some of them. I never waste any chocolate, ever! LOL!! If using sprinkles, toss some over each ball.

8. Place in fridge for about 10 minutes until the chocolate sets up.

9. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days or in the fridge up to 3 days, let sit at room temp for a few minutes to crisp up again.

Enjoy the Nutella deliciousness!
