Barbie Milkshake Recipe

Jump to Recipe

This Barbie milkshake recipe is a rich, delicious shake that’s full of flavor and all the pink and purple sensibilities of America’s classic doll. This shake features frozen strawberries and dragon fruit powder, or freeze dried strawberry powder, or both, for a super-fruity taste and vibrant purple/pink color, whipped cream, and fun pink sprinkles, nonpareils, you name it. Whatever you want your Barbie milkshake to look have.

Whether you love Barbie or you just love a good milkshake, this Barbie milkshake recipe is for you. I love this milkshake because it’s super-rich and thick, and the color is just so much fun! I’m particularly fond of this one because it has all the feels of my favorite doll. When I was a girl, I had all kinds of Barbies, and they went on all kinds of adventures. While I don’t adventure with Barbies anymore, I do recall those wonderful times whenever I make this shake. It’s equal parts flavor and nostalgia.

Barbie Milkshake Recipe

This delicious shake is extra rich and thick thanks to frozen strawberries along with a vanilla ice cream base. I add dragon fruit powder sometimes and other times I add freeze dried strawberry powder. Both give this milkshake a tropical flair and a vibrant pinkish, purple color. I blend it all up, top it with whipped cream and sprinkles, and it’s ready to go! I love to make this for myself as a sweet treat or make several at a time for guests.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • It only uses 6 simple ingredients to make and 2 of them are for the topping.
  • It’s an incredibly easy recipe that comes together in minutes.
  • It’s a rich, creamy milkshake loaded with so much yummy flavor.
  • The color is just SO Barbie (which is so fun)!

Ingredients

You’ll only need a handful of simple ingredients that you can find at most grocery stores or online. When at the market, you’ll be in and out in one quick trip and ready to make the best milkshake you’ve ever had.

  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup milk, I used 2 % dairy milk but, any milk will work. Remember though, the color might be slightly different for each shake depending on what kind of milk you use such as almond or oat milk.
  • 1 teaspoon dragon fruit powder, more or less depending how much you want the dragon fruit depth and how you want the color to come out. Also, freeze dried strawberry powder and pomegranate powder is good too.  (For those of you that don’t want to put any added powder, you can use all natural food coloring.
  • 1 cup frozen Strawberries, for a thicker shake, add a few more strawberries, you can also throw in another berry such as blueberries or blackberries for a more purple color.
  • Whipped cream for garnish, aerosol, or homemade.
  • Pink and/or purple sprinkles, nonpareils, candy hearts, anything goes for garnish. (Save these for Valentine’s Day)
