How to Make A Fresh Fruit Salad

Making this salad is just as easy as heading to the produce section to gather up the ingredients. It’s so simple, anyone can make it!

Easy-Peasy Directions:

1. Rinse fruit and pat dry. ( I use a fruit and veggie spray wash then rinse off.  This is the one I’ve been using for many years and love it!)

2. Cut strawberries and grapes in half.

3. Gently mix all the fruit together, trying not to mush any of it. Especially the blueberries.

4. Squeeze the lime over the mixed fruit. Again, gently toss. Now, drizzle the honey over the fruit salad. If using the fresh mint, toss that in. Once again, gently mix to combine the honey and lime juice along with the mint leaves. You can eat right away or put in fridge to chill. Enjoy the freshness!

  • Try adding nuts for more flavor and texture.

Yes, you can. This fruit salad can be made up to a day in advance. Thanks to the lime juice in the dressing, the fruit will stay nice and vibrant.

Some fruit salads may not be healthy at all.  Although it has fruit, it also has a ton of sugar and fat. However, the dressing for this fruit salad is made with honey and lime juice, so the salad is very healthy.

How can I keep my berries fresh?

Place a paper towel in the bottom of a container with a lid. Then, place the berries in the container and leave the lid ajar. This reduces moisture and helps keep the berries fresher longer.
