Cake Mix M&M Cookie Bars

 

 This fun and simple recipe makes really yummy Cake Mix M&M Cookie Bars. Enjoy year round using any M&M candies.  Today’s bars are pretty and patriotic. Take a big bite of one and enjoy!

 

This is my newest recipe for cookie bars.

Since we are right around the corner to Memorial Day weekend, I wanted to post a fun and really simple recipe that would be great for backyard barbecues, picnics, and any gathering.

Only a few handful of ingredients is all it takes to make these gems.

Change around the M&Ms for any holiday or occasion. Or, leave them off. These cookie bars tastes delicious without any topping.

Anytime is the right time for cookie bars, especially when you find the easiest recipe for them and they tastes so good! 

 

Cake Mix M&M Cookie Bars

Yields: 9 to 12 cookie bars

Just A Handful Of Ingredients Is All It Takes To Make These Delectable Cake Mix M&M Cookie Bars.

 

Here Are The Everyday Ingredients:

  • 1 box yellow or white cake mix
  • 1 small box instant vanilla pudding, you can use sugar free too
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 3/4 cup canola or any mild tasting oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract, this is optional
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cups regular or mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup M&Ms, I used red, white, and blue for this recipe

How Are These Cookie Bars Prepared?

 

Here Are The Simple And Easy Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine cake mix, pudding, water, vegetable oil and eggs in large mixing bowl.
  3. With a sturdy rubber spatula mix well to combine the wet into the dry ingredients. 
  4. Add in chocolate chips, mix, then add in M&Ms. Mix again to incorporate but gently not to break up the candies.
  5. Pour  batter (it’s going to be thick) into a ( 9 x 9 square pan or a 9 x 13 rectangle pan for thinner bars. You can also use a silicone baking dish.
  6. Bake bars for about 20 minutes. Check with a wooden toothpick or skewer, you should have dry or no crumbs. 
  7. Remove from oven, let cool in pan on a wire rack until cooled. 
  8. Cut these gems into squares and take a big bite!
