Patriotic Flag Toast Recipe

Here is a great food project the kids will have lots of fun making. Especially since it’s so yummy. This is one patriotic breakfast or snack the whole family will really enjoy.

Since my kids were little, they enjoyed doing craft projects. They especially enjoyed when the project had some kind o food involved. Each year around Memorial Day and 4th of July, for breakfast that morning, I would give them a piece of toast and some bananas, blueberries, along with cream cheese or marshmallow fluff spread. They had a ball spreading and topping. Once in awhile I would give them sprinkles and nonpareils to top their creations with. They ate the whole food project up and felt very proud of themselves on what a great job they had done.

It’s been years since my kids have made these. Well, I think my son Josh would make this if I asked him to. He loves being in the kitchen creating some really good dishes.  He’s an expert cupcake decorator that’s for sure. My daughter has since moved out and I can proudly say she just graduated law school. I can’t believe how fast time goes. It was just yesterday that they were little.

I still plan on making this for breakfast on the 4th for my hubby and son. They always appreciate when I surprise them with something new them I’m a food blogger, I love coming up with new and interesting recipes and my family is always my taste testers. They are always totally honest with me so this way I know what to put on my blog.
