Freezing Leftover Tomato Sauce The Convenient Way

Freezing Tomato Sauce in Ice Cube Trays

This tip is great for any homemade sauce or jarred sauce you have leftover. It’s a great way not to waste food.

Even if you have a small amount of sauce leftover, don’t throw it away. Grab one of your ice cube trays and pour whatever you have left into the little cubes. When they freeze, pop them into a ziplock bag and take out what you need for any recipe. I add to new sauces or if my kids want a quick little meal, I microwave up one or two and pour over some rice or pasta. Keep those old ice cube trays, don’t throw them out.
