Naturally Sweet – Oven Roasted Garlic

This simple recipe for naturally sweet – oven roasted garlic is a great way to enjoy the taste of garlic without the harsh  “bite” that comes with raw garlic. You’ll love the nutty, sweet flavor after roasted this way. Enjoy!

If you like the taste of garlic in many savory dishes, you are sure to love this foolproof method for roasting garlic cloves right in the oven.

It’s the best way to get the full flavor of garlic without the bitterness from eating it raw.

I’m sure you have seen and tasted roasted garlic in one or more of your favorite dishes from many restaurant dishes.

I just had a pasta tonight from my family’s favorite Italian restaurant and there was a bunch of sweet, roasted garlic cloves mixed into the sauce.

Even in one of their salad entrees, they have cold roasted garlic mixed in with the different kinds of lettuce and other veggies.

Recently, I made a big batch after buying one of those huge containers of raw, peeled garlic from Costco.

I saved a lot of money but, what was I thinking? I would never use it up before it went bad.

Then I remembered this recipe and made it that night.

When I tell you, we ate the whole batch before dinner! It’s like popping candy. Naturally sweet yet salty from the coarse salt that was added before roasting. You should try this recipe. Bet everyone you serve it to will love it.

Some suggestions as to how to serve other than just eating right off the baking sheet. Great for spreading onto toast. Just like butter but, oh so much tastier. You can also cut or leave whole and toss into any sauce.

Tomato sauce, beef gravy are two that complements the whole roasted garlic.

One of my husbands favorite way to enjoy roasted garlic is to toss with plain pasta and a little olive oil.

That’s it. Plain and so simple yet so delicious. Make some up soon and be creative, think out of the box and enjoy!
