Blueberry Muffin Protein Smoothie

This Blueberry Muffin Protein Smoothie tastes like a freshly baked blueberry muffin mixed with cream. You’ll love the creaminess and how luscious it is. Make one soon and enjoy every last sip!

What I love about this smoothie is that it actually tastes like a blueberry muffin.

Best part is, it’s made with healthy wholesome ingredients that comes out with the consistency of a thick milkshake.

It’s great for breakfast, an afternoon pick-me-up, also a nice late night snack. Since it’s so decadent tasting it’s even great as a dessert with a protein punch.

Sometimes when it’s a crazy, busy day and I’m running around and forget to eat lunch, I will come home and make this smoothie.

Check out the secret ingredients that give this yummy smoothie the scent of a home baked blueberry muffin.

It’s satisfying and totally delicious. You will know what I’m talking about after one sip. Get out that blender and blend away!

Blueberry Muffin Protein Smoothie

Yields: 1 smoothie

At a glance, here’s what you’ll need to make this luscious blueberry muffin protein smoothie…

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt, Greek or regular
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon  butter flavor or cake batter extract, this is optional but it gives the baked flavor and scent. Found online at Amazon or in craft stores.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla protein powder, whey or protein powder of choice
  • 1 scoop cheesecake or vanilla flavored instant pudding, the powder only. Do not prepare. I used sugar free for this recipe.
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes or crushed ice
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries, I like frozen to make the shake even thicker.

Here’s the simple way to make this smoothie…

Directions:

  1. Add almond milk and 1/2 cup ice into blender. Blend until ice is crushed. All the rest of ingredients except blueberries. Start on low for a few seconds then switch to high. Blend until all you have a smooth thick consistency. Add in more ice for thicker shake or more almond milk to thin out.

  2. Now add in blueberries and on low blend for just a few seconds just to mix in the blueberries. Top with a few extra blueberries for garnish. Grab a straw and sip away!
