What I love about this smoothie is that it actually tastes like a blueberry muffin.

Best part is, it’s made with healthy wholesome ingredients that comes out with the consistency of a thick milkshake.

It’s great for breakfast, an afternoon pick-me-up, also a nice late night snack. Since it’s so decadent tasting it’s even great as a dessert with a protein punch.

Sometimes when it’s a crazy, busy day and I’m running around and forget to eat lunch, I will come home and make this smoothie.

Check out the secret ingredients that give this yummy smoothie the scent of a home baked blueberry muffin.

At a glance, here’s what you’ll need to make this luscious blueberry muffin protein smoothie…

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt, Greek or regular
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon  butter flavor or cake batter extract, this is optional but it gives the baked flavor and scent. Found online at Amazon or in craft stores. (For this recipe, I used cake mix extract)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla protein powder, whey or protein powder of choice (Or leave out)
  • 1 scoop cheesecake or vanilla flavored instant pudding, the powder only. Do not prepare. I used sugar free for this recipe.
