Today is National Cheesecake Day!
Today, July 30, 2018 is National Cheesecake Day! Check out my new post on Parade Magazine/Community Table. My two food blogger friends Maria and Judith both contributed a luscious recipe along with a few from me. 6 delectable, easy to make cheesecake recipes! Link is below…..
Reading about the history of cheesecake, I’ve learned it was created in Greece. The athletes used to eat it to give them energy. It was also served as a wedding cake. That sounds good to me! In the 1800s, the New York cheesecake was developed. Dairymen from around New York State made these cakes from the cream cheese that they manufactured from their milk. On a more modern note, we all loved the TV show The Golden Girls, and I’ve read that over the seven-year run of the show they ate more than 100 cheesecakes! Blanch, Dorothy, Rose, and Sofia could solve any problem over a whole cheesecake. I always crave cheesecake when watching one of the episodes where the cheesecake is on the kitchen table and they are digging into one.
See these 6 luscious cheesecake recipes and pick your favorite. It’s not going to be easy though. Enjoy!!
