Copycat Dunkin Donuts Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate

You can easily make a creamy, luscious Copycat Dunkin Donuts Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate at home and save time running out for one while saving the big bucks too.

What’s better than hot chocolate to warm up on a cold day?

I can’t think of anything better at this moment.

Especially when it’s a Copycat Dunkin Donuts Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate.

There’s something about chocolate with a hint of sea salt for a delicious combo and same goes for caramel with a hint of sea salt. Don’t you agree?

We’ll, now you have both chocolate and caramel along with the sea salt in one recipe for a winning hot chocolate beverage.

Why Use Sea Salt Instead Of Table Salt?

We’ll, the main differences between sea salt and table salt are in their taste and texture of the salt. Along with processing.

Sea Salt comes from ocean water or salt water lakes and is minimally processed while table salt is mined from underground salt deposits and more heavily processed.

So, in my opinion, the only salt to use in cooking, baking, and seasoning will always be sea salt.

You can taste the difference right away. If you had the two different salts in front of you in a tastes test.

And, sea salt usually has a much more coarse texture versus table salt. With all that said, you can easily make this creamy, chocolatey delight right at home and it can be made right in the microwave.

That’s right, you don’t even need to put on the stove.

Just grab a microwave safe mug. Use a big one.

You want to save room for the whipped cream of course.

You’ll love how simple the recipe is with only a handful of ingredients which you may already have on hand in your pantry.

So, go ahead, make one of these wonderful hot chocolate drinks, sit down, relax and warm up while you sip away.
