Dainty Tea Cookies – Thanks to my dearest friend Regina for sharing these beautiful and dainty tea cookies. Only a few ingredients and you have a buttery, melt in your mouth cookie that’s the perfect Christmas or anytime cookie. Enjoy!
These cookies are like the ones you see at the fancy bakery’s all throughout the year. They are most popular during the holiday season. The recipe is so simple that they’re easy enough to make for any occasion. Add any filling in the center such as nuts or chocolate for a nice variety. You can get candied maraschino cherries in most grocery stores or online. I highlighted the links for the green and red I found on Amazon. But, look in the baking isle for them. Also, you can change around the extracts for a distinctive flavor. Of course vanilla extract always works.
A message from Regina: I like to make these cookies during Christmas-time. The color of the cherries and the poinsettia shape of the cookie press make it so festive. These are one of my daughter’s favorite cookies. She scoops up a few right away just to be sure she gets some.
