It’s close to Valentine’s Day and this is the time of year I try to think up fun and beautiful recipes to share with my family.

We make Valentines special around my house.

I like to decorate the kitchen with hearts and a pink tablecloth.

This has been a tradition since I got married over 20 years ago.

Now my kids get involved too.

Usually the main dish is my family’s favorite “American Chop Suey” It’s the easiest recipe and oh does it taste delicious and comforting.

Check it out! Everyone who has made this loves it as much as my family does.

It’s requested every year and on a side note, it’s what’s requested the night before school starts as well. That’s how comforting it really is.

Back to Valentine’s Day… ?

Every year I think up another new dessert to serve along with at least two other desserts from a previous year.

This year it’s going to be fudge. Not just any fudge but, “Pink and White Fudge”

This was so easy to create and it is rich and so decadent.

I made a batch recently to try it out and brought to my husbands office.

Everyone loved it so I knew it was a thumps up for us too.

My husband knew not to try it because it was going to be a surprise in just a couple of weeks.

He said he stuck to it but not really sure he did. How could he? It’s so yummy!

Well, here is the recipe. Give it a try, change out the sprinkles for any time of year. Have fun making it and a fun Valentines Day! ❤️

Ta-Da! Pink and White Chocolate Fudge

This question has been asked to me over and over again. Is the recipe easy for kids to help out with?

My Answer? The cooking part of heating the chocolate should be done by an adult. They can certainly help you spread it out in the pan and the best part of  sprinkling on all the colorful sprinkles.

Directions:

  1. Line a 9 x 9 square pan with parchment paper. Fold in half and let flap over two of the sides. You can double the paper and do the same for the other two sides. This gives you a way to lift up easily when done.
  2. In a medium to large heavy saucepan, pour the milk and chips in. On low heat, stir until chocolate is melted into the milk. Stir when completely melted to give the chocolate mixture a shine.
  3. Take off heat and add in vanilla and salt. Stir again to incorporate. Then add the sprinkles and stir again to combine.
  4. Quickly turn the mixture into the prepared pan. Smooth with a rubber spatula to even out. Gently toss remaining sprinkles over top and gently press into fudge.
  5. Let cool in pan at room temperate until completely set or place in fridge for up to 15 minutes to harden faster. Cut into small squares when cooled.
  6. Store in an airtight container for a few days on the counter or up to 5 days in fridge. Let sit at room temperature if hard from the fridge.

Enjoy the deliciousness!
