One Pot Spaghetti and Meatballs

This is one recipe I could probably make at least twice a week. That’s how much my kids and husband enjoy this dish. Fast, easy and just plain delicious.
One Pot Spaghetti and Meatballs
Yields: 4 to 6 servings
Ingredients:
- 14.5 ounce can diced or chopped tomatoes
- 24-28 ounce jar pasta sauce of choice
- 2 cups cold water
- 20 to 24 meatballs from a frozen bag. Beef, turkey, chicken, vegetarian are good choices
- 12 ounces uncooked spaghetti
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon Kosher or Sea salt
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- parmesan cheese for sprinkling on top, optional
Directions:
- In A large pot or Dutch oven, bring water, tomatoes, and pasta sauce to a boil.
- Carefully, add in the frozen meatballs. ( I do this with a large spoon. Add one or two at a time. Stir and bring back to a boil.
- Leave the dried spaghetti whole or break spaghetti in half and carefully add to pot.
- Stir with tongs or a large fork to break apart and mix around.
- Cook uncovered about 15 to 17 minutes or until pasta is the way you like it.
- Serve up and sprinkle parmesan and basil over the top if using. Enjoy!
