Ingredients

  • 14.5 ounces can diced or chopped tomatoes
  • 24 to 28 ounces jar pasta sauce of choice
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 20 to 24 frozen meatballs, beef, turkey, chicken, vegetarian all work
  • 12 ounces uncooked spaghetti
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon Kosher or Sea salt, leave out or to taste
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
  • grated or shredded parmesan cheese and basil or parsley for garnish, optional

Instructions

  1. 1. In A large pot or Dutch oven, bring water, tomatoes, and pasta sauce to a boil.

    2. Carefully, add in the frozen meatballs. ( I do this with a large spoon. Add one or two at a time. Stir and bring back to a boil. Leave the dried spaghetti whole or break spaghetti in half and carefully add to pot. Stir with tongs or a large fork to break apart and mix around.

    3. Cook uncovered about 15 to 17 minutes or until pasta is the way you like it.

    4. Serve up and sprinkle parmesan and basil, or parsley over the top if using. Enjoy!
