Chocolate Valentine Cookie Sandwiches
My Chocolate Valentine Cookie Sandwiches are the perfect Valentine’s Day treat. Rich, buttercream frosting is sandwiched between decadent chocolate cookies, and the outside edge of the frosting is then decorated with pink and white sprinkles.
If you haven’t guessed by now, I have a major sweet tooth and love making holiday treats. I combined those two loves to make these decadent, delicious, and, most importantly, easy chocolate sandwich cookies. Chocolate is a classic Valentine’s Day flavor, and everyone loves frosting. So, I made sandwich cookies that take full advantage of both. I add a dash of Valentine’s Day festiveness with pink and white sprinkles around the outside of the exposed frosting. I’ve been making these for a couple of years, and they’ve been a hit every time. I serve them to family and friends throughout the holiday, and they’re always well-received.
Chocolate Valentine Cookie Sandwiches
These chocolate, Valentine cookie sandwiches start with an easy, chocolaty cookie dough recipe. I use cocoa powder for extra-rich chocolate flavor. Then, I bake them until they’re set so they’re soft and chewy. While the cookies cool, I make a simple, rich buttercream frosting, and I sandwich it between the chocolate cookies. Finally, I coat the exposed frosting with white and pink frosting to add the Valentine’s look. The entire recipe only takes about 30 minutes, and I have delicious, festive sandwich cookies to gift to all my loved ones.
