Pick Me Up Smoothie

Smoothies are great for a quick breakfast or snack anytime of day. This luscious smoothie is the perfect morning smoothie to start your day. Enjoy every last sip!

Ingredients

  • 1 medium to large banana
  • 6 ounces plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups calcium fortified orange juice, I used Tropicana
  • 2 cups frozen sliced strawberries (with no sugar, the ingredients on the bag should only have strawberries)
  • 2 tbsp  flaxseeds or flax meal, I like the Golden Flax, Bob’s Golden Flax Meal or Bob’s Red Mill Golden Flaxseeds 
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, I used Quest Vanilla Milkshake whey/casein blend 
  • 1 tbsp honey or agave, leave out or use any sweetener of choice
  • 1 cup ice cubes, make sure the ice is fresh
  • 1/8 to 1/4 cup cold water or milk of choice

Instructions

  1. 1. Place all ingredients in blender and whirl until smooth and creamy. That’s it!
