Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 tbsp (more if you want this extra sweet tasting) regular with sugar chocolate syrup, I love this one, Ghirardelli  found in grocery stores and Amazon. Or sugar free, I like  Hershey’s Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup found on Amazon and most grocery stores.
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder, I used regular for this recipe not Dutch processed
  • 2 espresso shots or 1/2 cup strong coffee, you can use decaf too
  • 2 to 4 tbsp milk of choice, or leave out if you want a stronger beverageIce, make sure that ice is fresh, no little wimpy pieces left at the back of the freezer
  • fresh ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Whisk together espresso or strong coffee, chocolate syrup, and cocoa powder in a heatproof mug or measuring cup. Fill glass up to the top or 3/4 full. Pour espresso/coffee mixture over the ice that’s in a tall glass or cup. Gently spoon in milk. You can mix the milk in or let sit on top of the drink and ease it’s way down. That's it! Enjoy!
