Ingredients

  • 6 - 8 ounces brewed coffee or espresso, regular or decaf.
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk, I used refrigerated coconut milk because it has less calories and fat as the canned coconut milk has. But, go ahead and use the canned coconut milk if you choose.
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar or turbinado sugar, (the two brands I used) any coarse brown sugar will work too.
  • pinch cinnamon, this is optional

Instructions

  1. Brew a cup of coffee or espresso. While that’s going, steam the coconut milk simply by placing into a glass jar or mason jar. Put the lid on and shake for about 30 seconds. Take the lid off, this is very important! Place the open jar into the microwave and set to 20 seconds. Take out, if needed to put back in another 10 seconds then do so. You can also use a mini frother. Found on Amazon. When using the frother, you’ll heat up the milk in an open jar or glass measuring cup in the microwave then froth right in the jar. Have a nice size mug ready, grab your freshly brewed coffee and pour into the mug. Now, add one teaspoon of the sugar into the hot coffee and mix well. (You can leave out for a less sweet latte)Pour the steamed milk right over the coffee. Don’t stir. It should sit right on top. Take the remaining sugar and spoon right over the frothed milk. (As seen in photo above). That’s it! Easy-peasy, warm and delicious.
