Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil, softened, not melted. (This is very important to have the best consistency for finished product)
  • 2 1/2 tbsp unsweetened dark chocolate cocoa powder, Dutch processed. I used Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tbsp agave nectar, honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract or powdered vanilla
  • pinch fine sea or kosher salt
  • assorted nuts, coconut, etc, these are optional

Instructions

  1. 1.If needed, softened the coconut oil by placing in the microwave for just a few seconds.

2.Mix all ingredients (except toppings) with a small wire whisk or mini rubber spatula. A plastic fork also works. in a medium mixing bowl until smooth. The mixture will be thick.

    3. If using a chocolate bar mold, scoop into mold(s) and smooth out. I got two filled molds out of this recipe.

4..If using a pan. Spread into a pan lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle with toppings if you chose. With hands, shape into a square. Place in freezer for at least 1 hour. Take out, cut into small squares or rectangles and enjoy!

Note: This must be stored in the freezer.
