In a skillet cook ground beef on medium until golden brown.

Add chopped onion, garlic, and spices, cook until onion is translucent, then add marinara.

Open crescent rolls and separate into 8 triangles.

Grease a 9 inch pie plate with butter and place rolls in a round pattern with the smallest end facing the outer rim of the dish.

Press the dough and cover the bottom of the dish with the crescent dough and leave the end points over the edge of the dish.

Place 1 cup of cheese over the top of the crescent rolls and spoon meat mixture over the cheese.

Bring the tips of the dough to the center of the pan. sprinkle with the remaining cup of cheese and sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top of the cheese.

Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown on top.
