Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup milk of choice
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin puree not pumpkin pie filling
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tablespoon  light or dark brown sugar or coconut sugar, for sugar free, use low calorie/no calorie brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, I used this one
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chunks (I use these for so many recipes. 67% cacao) or dark chocolate chips of choice
  • sprinkle of cinnamon, this is optional for the top
  • 2 tablespoons Whipped cream of choice, I used aerosol, this is optional
  • 1 teaspoon grated or finely chopped dark chocolate, this is optional for the top

Instructions

  1. 1. Stir the pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice in a medium saucepan.

    2.  Add the milk, cocoa, sugar, and water and bring it to a gentle boil.

    3. Add the dark chocolate and stir until it dissolves.

    4. Pour the hot chocolate into a large mug and top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and grated chocolate or drink plain. Enjoy!
