Copycat McDonalds Oreo Shamrock McFlurry

Here’s a very easy way to make a Copycat McDonald’s Oreo Shamrock McFlurry at home. Turns out tasting just like the original and comes out beyond delicious!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups vanilla ice cream, you can use frozen yogurt too
  • 3/4 cup milk of choice, 2 percent and even almond milk will work
  • 1/2 cup  Oreo cookies
  • 1/8 -1/4 teaspoon , peppermint or mint extract, taste after blending. Only add 1/8 teaspoon if need more at a time. Too much can be very strong.  (I also found
  • green food coloring
  • whipped topping
  • additional sprinkles for topping, this is optional

Instructions

  1. In a blender,( I have this one in silver and black). Here’s another blender I use too. Add in the ice cream, milk, and half and half. Blend for just about 20 to 30 seconds. Add in the extract and food coloring. Blend again for another 20 to 30 seconds. Check for the color and give a taste. Only add just a drop of the extract if needed. Add in the Oreos last. You want some pieces in every bite. Blend another 3o seconds. Pour into 2 cups and top with whipped cream, sprinkles and crumble up one or two Oreo cookies for the top. Dig in to the deliciousness! It may be too thick for a straw. But, if you want to sip instead of using a spoon. Try these jumbo smoothie straws, my kids love these for milk shakes and smoothies. Enjoy!
