Ingredients

  • 12 Double Stuff Oreo cookies
  • 12 ounce package green candy melts wafers
  • 12 cupcakes, store bought (I got mine at the bakery department in my local grocery store) or homemade (cake mix cupcakes work well for this recipe)
  • 2 to 3 cups vanilla frosting in vanilla, cream cheese, or whipped, or green (All store bought in the tubs)
  • 12 Tootsie Roll Midges
  • Red mini M&M candies or any small/mini red candy like Red Hots, or Sour Cherry Balls, (5 to 9 for each cupcake)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with waxed paper. Gently press a lollipop stick into the cream center of the Oreos, taking care to keep the stick in the center of the filling to prevent cracking. Melt the candy coating according to the package directions. If the candy coating is too thick, you can add a teaspoon of coconut oil to thin out. (Don't use water, that will make the chocolate seize up. Dip the Oreos into the candy melt. Remove and tap gently to remove any excess coating. Place the cookies on the wax paper and add 4 to 6 Mini M&Ms to the coated cookies with the coating is still wet. Let the cookies set completely. When the cookies are set, twist a Tootsie Roll around the lollipop under the cookies to create the tree trunk. Frost the cupcakes with frosting, piping from the center and working outward in a circular motion. Press a cookie pop into the center of each cupcake and sprinkle the remaining Mini M&Ms or red candies of choice on the frosting. Enjoy!
