Ingredients

  • 1 box favorite brownie mix
  • 1 15 ounce can pumpkin puree, the can should only say pumpkin under the ingredients
  • 1 cup chocolate chips of choice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, this is optional

Instructions

  1. 1.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper. Let the parchment paper hang over the sides to make it easier to lift the brownies out. (A good tip is to crumble up the parchment paper just a bit and then lay it down in the pan.)

    2. Combine the brownie mix and pumpkin puree in a large bowl. If using vanilla extract, add now. Then, fold in 3/4 cups of chocolate chips.

    3. Scoop the batter into the baking dish and spread it out in an even layer. Top with the remaining chocolate chips.

    4. Bake at 350 for 22 to 25 minutes until the brownies begin to set up around the edges and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a bit of batter on it.

    5. Remove the brownies from the oven and cool them in the pan for 15 minutes. Lift the brownies out of the pan and cool on the counter for another 10 to 15 minutes. Cut into 9 squares and enjoy!
