Copycat Starbucks Iced Café Mocha

Hello to my coffee loving friends. Here's another copycat Starbucks iced café mocha beverage that I'm happy to be sharing with you today. It's one I bet you and I will be having repeatedly all summer long and well into the fall.

This recipe is so simple and easy to prepare in just a few minutes.

For all of you that are not sure how you feel about coffee, you may just want to make one of these at home, it's so delicious that for me it's like a dessert and coffee all in one.

Servings 1 Large/Grande

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp tablespoons chocolate syrup of choice, regular or sugar free both will work for the recipe
  • 1/2 cup  milk of choice, I used 2 % dairy milk for this recipe. Use any milk of choice such as almond milk, oat milk or whole milk
  • 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 to 2 shots espresso or 1/2 cup coffee, regular or decaf
  • ice to fill up tall glass or cup, make sure the ice is fresh, this is important for best taste
  • 2 to 4 tbsp whipped cream, I used aerosol from a can

Instructions

  1. Prepare espresso or coffee. Pour into a heatproof mug or large heatproof glass measuring cup. While still hot, whisk in the chocolate syrup and cocoa powder. Keep stirring or whisking to cool off a bit. When combined, put in fridge or freezer just for a few minutes. Take out and whisk or stir again. Fill tall glass or cup with ice. Pour espresso/coffee mixture over the ice. Slowly, pour or spoon milk into the glass or cup. You can mix the milk in or let sit on top of drink and ease it’s way down slowly. Swirl whipped cream on top and sprinkle some more cocoa powder over top. This is optional. Put a straw in and sip away. Enjoy!
