Ingredients

  • 1/2 to 1 cup refrigerated eggnog
  • 1 shot espresso or 1/4 cup strong coffee, regular or decaf
  • 1/2 cup  milk of choice, dairy, almond, oat, soy, cashew all work. I used almond for this recipe
  • 1/8-1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • whipped cream, I used aerosol

Instructions

Prepare espresso or coffee, keep hot while getting the other ingredients ready. Heat the eggnog and milk in the microwave in a microwave safe measuring cup or mason jar. I heated the milks about 45 seconds. Tested and put back in for another 30 seconds. Then, I covered a mason jar with the mixture and shook for about 20 seconds. When you open the lid the mixture should be frothy. Here’s my method that’s on the blog. 3 Simple Steps To Steam/Froth Milk In The Microwave. Pour the hot espresso or coffee into a mug. Now, pour the mixture over the coffee. No need to stir. Add whipped cream to the top and sprinkle with nutmeg. Even if you don’t use the whipped cream, add the nutmeg on top of the hot drink. That’s it! So simple and comes out so good!
