Ingredients

  • 3 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk, or milk of choice
  • 5 to 6 tbsp  vanilla syrup, regular or sugar free version (I used DaVinci, this is the sugar free version gourmet vanilla syrup, both found at Walmart, Target and Amazon or in many grocery stores, usually in the coffee section) Another one is called Torani, also found in the places listed above.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp  sugar or no calorie sugar, this is optional. I didn’t use any in this recipe
  • 4 tbsp  Reddi-whip aerosol whipped cream, this is optional. Calories include this ingredient

Instructions

  1. Heat the milk to a simmer over a medium heat in a small or medium saucepan. The milk will start to steam with small bubbles around the edges of the pan. This should take about 1 to 2 minutes. Stir so the milk does not come to a boil. Once you see it steam and small bubbles, remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and vanilla syrup. If you are using granulated sugar, add that along too. Now, whisk the milk mixture for about 15 to 20 seconds. It may get a little frothy, you want that to happen but not to worry if it doesn’t. Pour the steaming milk mixture into two mugs. Top off with whipped topping. Enjoy this warm, smooth, creamy, vanilla crème steamer. Enjoy!
