Copycat Starbucks Grasshopper Frappuccino

Ingredients

  • 1 cup very cold milk, whole milk, 2 % and almond milk all work. I used almond milk for this recipe.
  • 1 1/2 - 2 tsp matcha green tea powder, whole milk, 2 % and almond milk all work. found at Whole Foods, Amazon, and even Walmart.
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar or sugar substitute such as Splenda, whole milk, 2 % and almond milk all work. found at Whole Foods, Amazon, and even Walmart. or Stevia. You can use Agave too. (If using a sugar substitute, start with a small amount first)
  • 1/4 tsp ¬†xanthan gum or 1 Tbsp¬†dry vanilla pudding, optional
  • 1/4 -1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3-6 pumps peppermint syrup, Starbucks makes their own to purchase or found in the grocery stores with other syrups like vanilla or hazelnut syrups. Amazon too.
  • aerosol whipped cream for topping
  • 1 tbsp semisweet or bittersweet chocolate chips, I used mini chips
  • 1-2 tbsp chocolate syrup, I used Hershey dark chocolate syrup

Instructions

  1. Blend milk and ice first. Add in the rest of the ingredients up to the whipped cream. Blend again until creamy and thick. Drizzle some chocolate syrup on the inside of the cup and a little on the bottom. Pour into a tall glass then top with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and mini chips.
