Copycat Starbucks Caramel Macchiato

Here is an easy recipe to make right at home for a popular Starbucks favorite.

  • 1 1/2 cups milk of choice
  • 1 - 2 tbsp vanilla syrup
  • 1/2 cup hot strong coffee, espresso, or decaf
  • caramel syrup for rim of mug and for topping


  1. Prepare espresso or coffee. At the same time, steam/froth the milk with the 3 simple steps. See recipe above. Have a nice big mug ready. Rim the mug with caramel. Add the milk. Pour coffee into a measuring cup or pitcher that can hold hot beverages, add the vanilla syrup to the coffee and stir to combine. Stream the coffee over the frothy milk. You’ll see the “stain. the rim of mug Drizzle the caramel over the top. Enjoy!
