A family favorite way to enjoy french fries without all the fat and calories that go along with the usual way. These crispy, crunchy fries are beyond delicious and everyone you serve them to will adore them. Enjoy every crunchy bite!

Ingredients

  • 3 large baking potatoes, scrubbed, dried and cut into about 1/4 inch matchstick pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4- 1 tsp coarse sea or kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper`
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder, this is optional

Instructions

  1. 1.Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

    2.In a large bowl toss potatoes with oil. Sprinkle pepper and garlic powder if using. Toss again. Save salt when fries are done baking.

    3.Lay out onto sprayed rimmed cookie sheet in a single layer.

    4.Bake for about 30-40 minutes. Until crisp and lightly golden.

    5.With a large spatula, place on serving plate and sprinkle with salt.
