Sprinkle Pudding Cookies

These cookies have been a favorite with my kids since I started baking them over 10 years ago. Bake a batch soon, you’ll know why they love them so much after you take just one bite. Enjoy!

  • 1 stick/ 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 small box vanilla pudding (dry mix only)
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp fine sea or kosher salt
  • colored and chocolate sprinkles


  1. 1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees

    2.Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.

    3.In a large mixing bowl, using a hand held mixer or stand mixer, cream butter and sugars until combined. Add egg and vanilla extract. Add flour, pudding mix, baking soda and salt. Mix well to combine all ingredients. Make sure you dig deep down to mix in all the wet and dry ingredients. Place in fridge for 5 minutes.

    4.With a small to medium cookie scoop, place dough 1 inch apart from each other. Press down on each cookie just slightly. Sprinkle your favorite sprinkles over each cookie. Bake about 10 minutes. Let cool on cookie sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to cooling rack. Enjoy!
