Baked Brie In Puffed Pastry

This is so simple and easy to make but looks so fancy when served. It's my go-to appetizer that everyone raves over. Bake one up and you'll know what I'm taking about, enjoy!

Cook Time 25 minutes
Servings 12

  • 8-12 ounce wheel of brie
  • 1 sheet puffed pastry, defrosted
  • 1-2 tbsp all purpose flour, if needed to roll out the pastry
  • 2-3 tbsp honey
  • sliced almonds
  • dried cranberries
  • 4 tbsp melted butter, I used unsalted, or 1 beaten egg

  1. 1.Preheat oven to 400 degrees, line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.

2.Toss a little flour on a flat work surface. Unroll the puffed pastry.

3.Put a little flour on a rolling pin and gently roll out into a square. About 11 inches or so.

4.Place the brie wheel in the center of the puffed pastry. Coat the top with honey. Add the nuts and cranberries right onto the honey surface.

5.Start wrapping the brie with the pastry like you would a package or gift. Brush the pastry with butter or the egg as you are folding. (It doesn’t matter how neat this is, it’s going to bake up just fine.) You want the butter to act like glue. When you are done folding the pastry dough. Brush the remaining butter all over the top and sides.

6.Transfer the wrapped brie to the prepared baking sheet. Bake for about 20 to 30 minutes or until pastry is golden brown. Check after 20 minutes. When done, take out and serve with crackers, carrot stick, celery sticks or crusty bread. Enjoy the cheesy deliciousness!
