Shortcut Chocolate Chip Peppermint M&M Cookies

Here’s a rich tasting, very chocolaty cookie everyone will adore. The peppermint M&Ms add a great crunch and taste to these amazing cookies.

Ingredients

  • 15 ounce box chocolate cake mix, any brand works
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup mini or regular semisweet chocolate chips
  • peppermint M&M candies, or use any flavor for another occasion

Instructions

  1. 1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees, lay parchment paper onto two large cookie sheets. Set aside.

    2.In a large mixing bowl, empty cake mix and with a whisk, break up any clumps.

    3.Add in melted butter and eggs. Switch over to a rubber spatula and mix until well combined. Dip down to grab any dry mix and mix into wet.

    4.Toss in chocolate chips and fold into batter.

    5.Using a medium cookie scoop or a tablespoon, place mounds onto prepared cookie sheets. You should have 12 on each sheet. Try not to crowd them.

    6.Gently push a few M&Ms into each cookie mound. Place in oven and bake about 10 minutes. After 5 minutes, rotate the cookie sheets for even baking.

    7.Cookies are done when gently pressed on top and they lightly spring back. Cool pans on wire rack for about 10 to 15 minute then slide paper off onto racks and cool completely. Enjoy the deliciousness!
