  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup whole milk or half and half
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Slice brioche bread into 8 thick slices. Set aside. In a large shallow bowl or pie plate, add in eggs, half and half, cinnamon, vanilla extract and salt. Whisk together to combine.Lay 3 to 4 slices at a time and cook each side until golden brown. Lift out of pan, place on a serving plate. Put the next dipped slices in the pan. If needed, add more butter and oil. Just a tablespoon should be enough. Repeat until all slices are golden brown on each side.

Dip each piece of bread into the custard mixture. Dip both sides.

In a large nonstick fry pan, add in butter and oil and cook over medium heat until melted.

If not eating right away, place in a warm oven no more than 180 degrees. Just to keep warm until you are ready to eat. (Brioche French Toast tastes best when eaten within a few minutes of cooking)

Serve with a small scoop of butter and pure maple syrup. Enjoy!
