Rosemary Thyme Chicken Over Noodles – My family loves this chicken and pasta dish. It’s also great for any potluck dinner or for company. Enjoy this very special chicken dish!
Sometimes you come across a recipe that looks and sounds so good but then you look at the ingredients and think, do I really want to make this long and complicated recipe? Well, I did see a similar recipe on the internet that looked so delicious. There was no way I was going to start buying a bunch of ingredients for a new dish that I wasn’t sure my family would enjoy. That got me thinking, shortcut! Buying prepared sauce, saves so much time especially on busy weeknights. I love shortcut recipes. Rosemary Thyme Chicken Over Noodles
Yields: 4 to 6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 jar marinara sauce, 28 ounces or there about
- 1 large bag of egg noodles
- 2 large chicken cutlets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp each salt and pepper or use seasoned salt
- 2 cups part skim mozzarella cheese
- 1 stem of rosemary
- 1 stem of thyme
- parsley or leftover herbs to sprinkle on top for garnish
Ready for the oven!
Plate up and enjoy!

Directions:
- Cut chicken breast into strips or tenders size.
- Heat nonstick skillet to medium high heat. Add oil.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper or seasoned salt on the chicken and add to heated skillet.
- While chicken is cooking, began to cook noodles according to the package directions.
- Once chicken is thoroughly cooked, removed and set aside.
- Now, drain the noodles and add to a large mixing bowl. Stir in marinara sauce.
- Add noodles and sauce mix to a 13 x 9 baking dish.
- Prep rosemary and thyme, remove the stems and mince both.
- Place chicken on top of pasta.
- Sprinkle rosemary and thyme over chicken and pasta.
- Sprinkle cheese over top and bake for 35 minutes at 375 degrees.
- Remove from oven once golden brown.
