Hugs and Kisses Cookies XOXO

You will love these Hugs and Kisses Cookies XOXO. I call this a semi – homemade recipe.

It’s one of my go-to cookie recipe that’s easy enough for a weeknight dessert and great to for large crowds too.

Also, great to bring along for picnics and potluck dinners because everyone will love these little gems.

If you are like me and you’re always looking for easy recipes that will still taste delicious, this recipe is what it’s all about.

You may be surprised when you see what the ingredients are in this cookie recipe. What I’ll say now is, it starts off with a tube of sugar cookie dough.

Then the magic begins when you add in a few of your own ingredients to make the perfect cookie.

The two photos I posted were both topped with a mini Hershey Kiss. One I sprinkled cinnamon sugar and the other left plain.

However, you can swap out the kiss for some sprinkles and also M&Ms work well too. Basically, add in anything you like.

They look pretty and taste so yummy even plain.

In my opinion, it’s the perfect cookie!

Let’s face it, going to the store and buying ready-made cookie dough is hard to resist when you want your cookies fast and easy to make, especially on a weekday.

Well, here’s a way to make packaged cookie dough taste homemade. This may become your go-to cookie recipe too.

The skies the limit on what to decorate them with. These make great edible holiday gifts and they’re perfect for Valentines Day. ♥️

With all that said, I hope you’ll give this easy recipe a try. It’s really good, I promise!

Recipe note… I made small cookies to make a batch of 48 cookies. You can easily make larger cookies. I would suggest to use a regular size Hershey Kiss if you were to make a batch of 24 cookies.

The star of the show

Here are the simple and easy steps to make these Hugs and Kisses Cookies XOXO

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and have 3 cookie sheets ready, lined with parchment paper; set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the whole tube of the cookie dough along with the flour, powdered sugar, cinnamon and the extract.
  3. Mix well with clean hands or a wooden spoon.
  4. When all mixed, chill dough in fridge for about 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from fridge and roll up into 48 little balls of dough; about a teaspoon or so each. Place on cookie sheets.
  6. Bake about 9-10 minutes on the middle rack. After 5 minutes, turn the pan around for even baking. Remember, we always bake one cookie sheet at a time.
  7. Cookies will be done when they are puffed up, set in the center, and the bottom is light brown. Transfer cookie sheet to cooling rack and gently press a mini kiss in the center of each cookie.
  8. Cool for about 3-5 minutes. After that, you can slide the parchment paper off the cookie sheet onto the cooling rack and let the cookies firm and set.
  9. Repeat steps 5 through 7 until all of the cookies are done.
  10. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar lightly over each cookie.

Enjoy the deliciousness
