Chocolate Protein Nice Cream

This sweet treat tastes just like chocolate ice cream but, made healthier and the extra boost of protein is great for an afternoon snack. Enjoy every spoonful of this chocolate protein nice cream. It’s a winner of a recipe!

Have you heard of “Nice Cream” ? If not, I will tell you what this wonderful treat is.

Simply, it’s frozen fruit such as bananas with any add-Ins you like.

Or, just the fruit itself.

My family and I really love banana nice cream.

However, we enjoy all the nice creams you can make with just about any fruit.

If you have been on this blog before, you probably have seen the other recipes made with frozen bananas.

One is made with peanut butter. We all know how good the combo of peanut butter is with bananas. Then, add in the chocolate, well, you have a winner of a nice cream for sure.

This one that I made today is made with protein powder for an added kick of healthy protein.

It’s so easy to make and everyone will think they are eating yummy, creamy ice-cream.

After making this, and after your first spoonful, I’m sure you will love it as much as we do in my family.

Share with your family and friends too!

Here are the ingredients below that make up the most decadent tasting chocolate nice cream that tastes oh so delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 2 large bananas sliced thinly and frozen
  • 1/8 cup almond milk or any milk of choice
  •  1 scoop chocolate protein powder, you can use any kind of  protein powder, of choice. I try to find a lower calorie and no sugar powder
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa or cacao powder
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons carob powder, optional but gives a great smooth flavor.
  • 1 packet Stevia, optional for added sweetness
  • 2 teaspoons colored sprinkles or nonpareils, optional – I found these great natural confetti and chocolate sprinkles !

The star of the show!

Below are the three simple and easy steps to make this creamy dreamy chocolate protein nice cream

Directions:

  1. Using small food processor (this one is a 3 cup, great for other recipes too) or high speed blender, (I love this blender) add frozen chopped bananas with about half of the milk. Whirl until you have the consistency of soft serve ice-cream. Add the rest of the milk if needed to blend the bananas completely.
  2. Add in the chocolate protein powder, cocoa and carob powder. Whirl again until all is combined. Add sweetener if using. Whirl once more.
  3. Scoop into dessert dishes and sprinkle with colored sprinkles or pour into container and freeze for 30 minutes for a more firmer nice cream texture.

Enjoy the creamy, cool, deliciousness!
